The context

At Palladium Data.FI, I combined information-system development and deployment with government data use, programme reporting, MEAL and data-quality assurance. The work supported OVC and wider public-health programmes across Nigeria.

My contribution

  1. National information systems. Led NOMIS development and deployment and configured DHIS2 for OVC partner reporting across 17 Nigerian states, including datasets, reporting workflows and analytical products.
  2. Coordination and data use. Coordinated National OVC Situation Room meetings, interagency USAID/CDC/DOD reporting and data-quality reviews. Streamlined DHIS2-to-DATIM transfer and supported partner harmonisation reviews.
  3. Data quality and capacity building. Led the OVC transition data-quality assessment across 15 states and supervised more than 400 enumerators. Trained more than 300 government M&E officers in analysis, visualisation and data use, and supported development of the national OVC DQA protocol.
  4. Surveys and assessment management. Led data management for the National Interagency OVC pilot survey across six states, including CSPro collection-tool development. Supported assessments involving 584 health facilities and 54 community-based organisations across 17 states.
  5. GIS and response information. Developed and managed the ArcGIS Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA) dashboard for Palladium IHP across three states. Supported COVID-19 Emergency Operations Centre setup across eight states and GIS-enabled vaccination and disease-response information products.
  6. Analytics, automation and MEAL. Developed Power BI, DHIS2 and ArcGIS dashboards for OVC, HIV/AIDS, GBV, COVID-19 and facility performance. Designed and implemented MEL frameworks for public-health interventions and produced data-use briefs, monthly bulletins and quarterly information products.
  7. Regional technical support. Provided four months of analytical technical support to Palladium’s Ghana JET project during inception.

What the work produced

NOMIS deployment and configured DHIS2 partner reporting across 17 states; coordinated Situation Room and interagency reporting; data-quality assessment and survey support; GIS and analytics products; government capacity development; and routine data-use publications.
