The context
At DRC, I connected ActivityInfo and Kobo with reporting products for sector teams and management. At Palladium, I also developed Kobo-connected Power BI reporting to follow the OVC data-quality exercise.
My contribution
- Beneficiary targeting and automation. Developed automated Python scripts to generate beneficiary distribution lists for BHA-funded assistance, reducing preparation time. Programmed and automated scoring criteria in Kobo tools to support consistent vulnerability assessment and beneficiary targeting.
- Sector tools and accountability. Developed Crisis Modifier tools, multipurpose cash assistance (MPCA) tools, post-distribution monitoring tools and the Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (MSNA). Developed the community feedback mechanism to support accountability and programme follow-up.
- Integrated reporting. Connected both ActivityInfo and Kobo directly to Power BI through APIs. Built dashboards for sector teams and management, with automated refresh scheduled every six hours, daily.
- OVC assessment reporting. Connected KoboToolbox and Power BI to track enumerator progress during the OVC data-quality transition at Palladium.
