The context
Support programme implementation across Northeast and Northwest Nigeria, working with ACF, PUI, BOWDI, GHIV Africa and other ECHO consortium organisations serving displaced and vulnerable populations in hard-to-reach areas. My role connects programme requirements with the custom development of health, nutrition and commodity systems.
My contribution
- Custom systems development. Work closely with frontend and backend developers and a subject-matter expert to build INIS (Integrated Nutrition Information System), HMIS (Health Management Information System) and CTS (Commodity Tracking System) from scratch. The technology stack includes Node.js, Next.js and React Native for mobile applications.
- Programme workflows and referrals. Translate health, nutrition and multipurpose cash assistance needs into registration, case-management, referral, follow-up and commodity-management workflows.
- Requirements and interoperability. Develop functional specifications, user roles, data dictionaries, indicator definitions, validation rules and shared identifiers. Define API and data-exchange requirements with ActivityInfo, DHIS2, SORMAS and other partner platforms.
- Testing, governance and adoption. Coordinate user acceptance testing, issue logs and validation with programme teams and developers. Incorporate consent, role-based access, confidentiality and data minimisation, and support documentation, training and deployment.
Current work and deliverables
Ongoing development of INIS, HMIS and CTS, supported by functional specifications, programme workflows, interoperability requirements, testing and user documentation. Health and nutrition referrals connect with multipurpose cash assistance where required.
Conceptual workflow, simplified for this portfolio.
