Participants at the 2024 NISA and GIS conference
Knowledge exchange at the 2024 NISA and GIS Conference.

Bring location into the discussion

During the conference, I joined a session on digital interventions and GIS-enabled micro-planning. I shared experience with an information tool used for COVID-19 vaccination coverage and Lassa fever monitoring in Edo State.

The practical question was how to connect geographic information with the needs of health-service teams. A map becomes useful when it supports a specific planning question and sits alongside dependable programme data.

Connect the system to the workflow

My presentation brought together the information system, spatial analysis and programme use. Discussion with other participants explored how similar approaches could be adapted to other health and development initiatives.

Continue the exchange

Conferences provide space to examine implementation experience with colleagues working in different settings. This contribution is part of my wider work connecting information systems, GIS and programme decisions.
